The Company. Founded in 2010, Socially Responsible Ventures L3C is a Chicago-area social enterprise that creates energy-efficient affordable housing, employing hybrid teams of highly skilled independent tradesmen and in-house crews of on-the-job trainees, most of whom are low-income individuals negatively impacted by the criminal justice system.

The Founder. T. Manning has been called a pragmatic visionary, but he thinks of himself as a hard-edged businessman whose heart is in the right place.
He has almost twenty years of experience in real-estate sales and development, property management, and the creation of job-skills training programs for the disadvantaged, including the hardest-to-employ members of society.
As a Realtor® licensed since 2004, representing primarily real-estate investors and rehabbers, he has closed over $10 million in sales. From 2007 through 2010 he was employed by North Branch Works, a non-profit organization on Chicago’s Near North Side, where he helped spearhead the development of programs to train workers for construction jobs in the green economy. Since 2003 he has served on the Board of Directors of St. Leonard’s Ministries, a Chicago-based social service agency working to help previously incarcerated men and women rebuild their lives. In 2010 he founded Socially Responsible Ventures L3C.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
